Kaltenbach/Nove Hute is sited at ca. 80 km from Passau (Bavaria) and ca. 30 km from Phillipsreuth-German-Border at the Czech side, situated at a height of ca. 1. 000 m above sea level, near to the sports-areal Zadov/Churánov ( e. g. training base of Olympic champion Katarina Neumannová; ski rental possible ). Nove Hute is 30 km away from the german border and 80 km from Passau. Swiming lake in 8 km and open air pool in 12 km. In wintertime you can find down hill skiing and cross country skiing at the place.
