Detailed description:

The Ecurie is a spacious and luxerious house with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

160 m2 on 2 floors.

- On the ground floor: a central livingroom of no less than 60 m2 with a large diningtable and several sitting areas. From here you have access to the covered balcony in the typical Auvergnat style facing east

At the other side of the house you have direct access to the covered (dining)terrace in your own garden.
On this ground level there also is an open kitchen with a range(gaz), refrigerator, freezer, microwave. This kitchen is fully equipped for 8 persons.
There is also a romantic 2 person bedroom on this level (1x double bed)

- On the 1st floor you find:3 large bedrooms (3x2pers)
2 luxury bathrooms, each with shower, toilet and washbasin.
1 separate toilet
If you wish you can rent your linen for bed, bath and/or kitchen with us. (change each Saturday)

Description of the area:

The Auvergne has been formed over thousands of years by erupting volcanos and gletschers. The remains of this vulcanic activity are still clearly visible in the landscape. You can even walk in here old craters. A lot of effort has been put in to preserve these splendid landscapes.

Locked in between the Ardeche and the Cevennes region the department “ la Haute Loire”(43), is one of the least populated of France.

The hamlet of Tailhac, where our farm is situated, lies surrounded by forest in the southwestern part of the Haute Loire.

Here time seems to have stood still. Around the old 15th century church you find the “ (airie”, the old school and some old farms and one of them is our 200 years old “ mes deux Noyers”. All this is surrounded by silence, dozens of kilometers of hikingtracks, bicycle - and moutainbike possibilities and picturesque villages ready to be discovered.

Remarks:

the river Allier, known for its canoeing/kayaking, wild water rafting, hot dog rafting and fishing for trout and salmon has also plenty nice beaches for swimming

Leisure activities:

Directly from your holidayhome you can choose from dozens of walking tracks, varying in difficulty and distance.
Les Deux Noyers is an ideal departure point for bicycle excursions. The mountainous landscape is perfectly suitable for both beginners as well as the more experienced.

How to find us:

After the tollgate of Clermont Ferrand you are on the A75 in the direction of Montpellier.

Take sortie 20 in the direction of Le Puy on Velay and Brioude. You are now on the N102 and after approximately 10 km you arrive at Brioude.
Here you follow the direction of Le Puy en Velay and Langeac.
Approximately 15 km after Brioude you arrive at the little village of Le MARCET
(Paulhaguet), 3 km further you get a righthand turn direction Langeac, follow this for approximately 10 km when you cross a bridge over the river Allier.

The road turns left into Langeac.

Now follow the direction of Pinols. After the fifth roundabout (still direction Pinols) take a lefthand turn at the fourth road after you have left Langeac (sign). This is the D116 and the direction is Tailhac.
Follow this D116 for about 6 km, drive through Marmeisse, and about 2 km after this hamlet you find our farm at the righthand side.
