Our Farm of Fortune (Quinta da Fortuna) is situated north-east of Faro, the capital of the Algarve, and only 25 minutes by car from Faro Airport. The farm is situated in an exclusive location, away from the mainstream tourism, enjoying the hilly landscape of the Sotavento and with beautiful views to the sea.
Our farm is a good starting point for walks or for a swim, boat-trips and undertaking excursions to get know the original Portuguese life style.
The coast-line is varied. In the eastern part of the Algarve there are long sandy beaches, dunes and lagoons. To the west you will encounter a stony coastline and deep valleys.
In few minutes, by car, you will reach one of the numerous sandy beaches or the off-shore islands, which you can easily reach by regular boat-travel (e. . in Fuzeta a small fishermen's village 8 kilometers from us).
